Forcible Entry To Weed Land
Around 8 p.m., the Vancouver Fire Department received a call for a report of smoke at John Street and 28 Avenue. Fire crews found a grow operation in the basement of a house in the area, believed to be the cause of the blaze. The residence apparently reignited three hours later, around 11 p.m., spreading dense smoke out of doors and windows.
Warning: door under video surveillance
This sign leading to an unfinished area in the basement of the biotech center reads, "WARNING: Door under video surveillance. Unauthorized entry will sound alarm." It is unusual the RPI would even leave the door accessible if unauthorized entry was prohibited, considering the pervasive card access control on campus.
